I have a roof under my patio (I have storage space underneath) where I have corrugated plastic between the floor joists. The problem is that it's not watertight.

I'm now thinking of just painting over everything from above with some thicker compound that provides a flexible watertight layer. Does anyone have any tips?

Preferably something a bit transparent.

There is tape that you can use half on the channel plastic and half folded up against the beam if you can access it from above.

Without going into too much detail, I have tried most things. I have already lifted the decking above 3 times and need something better. I have already carefully sealed twice between the beam and channel plastic and have a drip edge on top of the beam.

Sealing is not the right way, but rather a wider tape that covers the entire beam 45mm and goes down towards the channel plastic, maybe two strips are needed to cover depending on how far down the channel plastic lies.
Here's an example, there are plenty of different tapes.

Anyone have tips on a liquid sealant that you can "paint on" the entire surface?

I don't believe in tape on a wet beam

Hydra rubber LM. It is for concrete so I don't know how it adheres to your plastic.

Brown/black it seems to be... would have probably preferred something with a bit of light transmission
