Planning to install acoustic panels on a drywall. To simplify the installation, I'm considering using a 13mm OSB board cut into battens and attaching it to the drywall at cc 60. It's a bit tricky to find the studs behind the drywall.
What do you think about it? It will protrude a bit, but that's not a problem. Will it hold? Will it be bad if the acoustic panels don't sit flush against the wall?
I saw that you can do it with 45mm battens and insulate behind to achieve sound absorption class A, but 45mm is unfortunately a bit too deep.

It's probably not a bad idea, might be worth filling the space between the OSB strips with something then, to avoid risking creating "resonance box effects"... if possible, place OSB boards on the entire wall for even better sound insulation.

Most acoustic panels can also be mounted with adhesive.
