I am planning to build an extension with a shed roof from the gable of the house.
I am probably clear on all the steps except for the level of the ceiling relative to the wall plate, thanks to resources like träguiden etc.
I will set 220 dimensions for the roof beams. Spontaneously, I'm thinking of placing joists with dimensions... 45x70??? on the wall plate at a right angle towards the house (240cm), and then attaching sparse paneling underneath. The ceiling level will then be a few cm below the top edge of the wall plate. At the same time, I think this gives very little room for roof insulation close to the wall plate.
220-air gap-mitering=>12-15cm insulation max... Maybe it's okay since it's the last little bit...
It's worth noting that I don't have a lot of leeway in height since I'm considering a 14-degree roof slope and at least 220cm ceiling height (old house, so it's 220 in ceiling height as standard in other rooms).
I think it sounds quite okay. 12-15cm insulation isn't super great, but still not particularly bad, and it is a very short section after all.
The only thing I react to is 45x70 for the ceiling to hang on? Spontaneously, it feels very weak, but it also depends on how long it is and what you plan to use for ceiling cladding. If you want a smooth gypsum ceiling, you probably need to go up a bit in dimension. You might be able to anchor 45x70 with vertical studs to your ceiling beams, then you should be fine with 45x70.

I really don't know exactly what's required. It was more of a feeling that it became a bit weak with 45x70. I would probably go for at least 45x120 with that span.
I have approximately a 3-meter span, and have placed 45x95 as roof rafters, cc600. It's stable enough for me even though you can get it to move a little if you hang on it, but 45x70 might be cutting it a bit close.
