As the title suggests, we have waterborne underfloor heating embedded in chipboard with underfloor heating plates. On top of this, we wish to lay a solid wood floor type tongue and groove (presumably 22x95).
The question is then. Can this be laid floating on top? We would like to lay them in the same direction as the underfloor heating loops. Or is it enough to nail them in places where they are not at risk of puncturing the underfloor heating pipes? Is there a risk that the joints will "lift" if we skip nailing certain joints?
