Hello,
I think sometimes the caulk becomes a bit yellowish when you use painter's caulk against a white wall. Is there a difference in whiteness between latex and acrylic? Or are the more expensive ones whiter, considering there is caulk for 15 kr...

I have white-painted baseboards, so I don't want to have to paint again after caulking the gaps.

It's probably a must, unfortunately.

There are cheap variants that correspond okay. I used fog from byggmax first, and then Biltema's. The latter was clearly whiter in shade and made me feel I didn't need to repaint. This was in two small storage cabins that were furnished as guesthouses, so the requirements may not be comparable in the formal room.

If you don't paint over the latex, it will quickly become dirty...

I agree. Latex/acrylic joints tend to attract dust. They look terrible after a while; they are meant to be painted over.
