Hello!

I have cut an MDF board that is 2400 * 920 (19mm thick) that I have placed on 2 trestles from IKEA.

A desk made from an MDF board on IKEA trestles, with a computer, keyboard, and mouse on top, situated in front of a window with various items on the sill.

I now need to make the whole construction more stable. I have mounted a support rail against the wall, but it still flexes.

I have considered using wall brackets instead of trestles, but can't find any that are deep enough.

Ps. I have 0 experience with building with MDF and no experience at all when it comes to building furniture.

Attach a rule along the long side, underneath, both front and back to stabilize the board. Screw or glue.

mmm thought so, but then I'll have it in my lap when I'm sitting here.
I could, however, raise the table a bit. today it's 72 up to the edge of the table.

72 centimeters is just the right height for a desk or dining table.
It's probably actually "standard."

But surely you have room for a reinforcing "regel" along the table edge?
I can recommend glespanel 28x70 mm, stood on edge of course.
However, if you think it provides too little room for your knees, you can choose a 45x45 mm regel instead.

You can move the bockarna slightly inward.
You can screw an ELFA wall rail (they have a U-profile) onto the front and back.

A workbench project in progress, featuring a wooden frame on a flat brown panel, placed on a light wood floor with tools nearby.

Two black sawhorses and a wooden beam mounted on a wall, above a radiator, in a room with wooden flooring.

What do you think, will this be good do you think?

It will be awesome

By the way, what are you going to use all the table space for? Playing solitaire?

Why not put the ruler in the wall on the table top instead? It can sit inside the holes.
