Hello

I am working on an extension of the summer house. It is framed with 145x45. On the exterior, there is paneling, an air gap, and asphalt board.

It's about time to start on the interior. I was thinking of insulating with 145 plus 45. Since I will have horizontal paneling, I need vertical studs 45x45.

Would you place noggins between the 145 studs at 120 centers and then set vertical 45x45 at 60 centers to attach the paneling, or go with horizontal 45x45 and then place noggins between them?

The simplest way is to screw the 45x45 onto the existing studs, but won't that create thermal bridges?

One option is horizontal 45, vertical OSB, and horizontal paneling on top. This makes it easier to fasten the paneling and results in less waste since you don't need to adapt the joints as much.

An alternative is lying 45, standing OSB, and lying panel on it.
Then it becomes easy to nail the panel and less waste since you don't need to adjust the joints as much.
It's an alternative, but I'm thinking of being frugal and skipping the boards. The panel is end-matched.
