Hello.
I am going to build a new shed with a storage room and a workshop, the dimensions will be approximately 8 x 2.7m. I plan to use ready-made foundation blocks to dig in, only on the long sides. I plan to attach the floor joists with joist hangers to the beams.
But since there won't be any foundation blocks on the short sides, how do you attach the beams/floor joists of the short sides to the ends of the beams of the long sides? Ready-made foundation blocks don't have a large surface area on top to also support the beams of the short sides in the corners. Is it okay to screw them into the end grain of the beams of the long sides (feels risky), maybe reinforce with an angle bracket on the inside?

Yes, see my shed, resting on plinths and screwed in lengthwise. It is 3*5 m and I also chose a middle support beam with two plinths, the outer long sides have three.
Wooden framework for a storage shed foundation on concrete piers in a grassy area, dimensions 3x5 meters with mid-span beam support.

Remember to angle the screws properly when screwing into end grain, and it will go quite well.
But if it's just for the short sides, it's quite manageable to afford four metal plates in the corners.
