Hi, I have a room that is 6000x8000, so I was thinking of placing a glulam beam that is 115x495 in the middle of the room, then 45x220x4000 from the outer wall where they sit in beam hangers to the glulam beam where I also attach them with beam hangers, what do you think, is it too weak or will it work?
Upstairs it will become a kitchen exhibition!

Spontaneously, I would say that I wouldn't dare to place the glulam in a post shoe. There, you would want to notch in, or have a post underneath.

It's just a few anchor screws expected to hold everything together, or am I misunderstanding?

The glulam itself rests on load-bearing walls, then the studs, which are 45x220, go to the glulam beam, and then joist hangers are placed on it at 600 cc.
