Hello!
First time I'm taping seams. After some practice and 4 discarded strips and 2 plastic corner reinforcements, I think it's gone well! But how do you know if you've applied the joint compound thick enough? I've applied compound 2 extra times after putting on the strips. I have chipboard so the wall is already flat. In some places, the seams were very uneven from the start and I can see that they are still a bit uneven.
It's not possible to upload pictures, but the seam strips are somewhat visible... does it matter much?
When I use a long trowel, you can see irregularities in some places BUT I will also be using easycovertaprt over everything. So how precise do I really need to be?
Your tips on finishing this project? Redo?

Now it was possible to upload images! A close-up of a wall being worked on with a putty knife, showing a partially scraped surface. Wall corner showing partial plastering and sanding near a door frame, with transition from rough to smooth surface. A partially painted or primed wall, showing a contrast between the bare surface and a smooth, light coating. A person using a trowel to smooth plaster or putty onto a drywall surface.

When you have applied filler and sanded 2 times, you then prime alternatively with microlit and prime. Then you see if more filling is needed.

Putty on chipboard then you just have to hope for the best that it turns out okay, it's not exactly the most suitable material.

That was the sneaky tip about microlit:cool:

Yes, I guess you can just fill in on the easy cover if it looks uneven afterward..? But do you think the strips will hold as they appear?
