I am renovating an old cottage (from the 20s I guess) and found some tiles behind the stove that I assume served as some kind of heat insulation.

Has anyone seen similar ones before and have an idea of what it might be? I would like to continue tearing down, but not at the expense of health :)

Old stove area with green and white wall panels, gloves, dustpan, and broom; part of a renovation project in a 1920s cottage. Close-up of a green-painted wooden wall with exposed brown insulation paneling behind it.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like asbestos cement, can we get a picture from above where it is unpainted?

It can be.
When you knock on them. How do they sound?

Anyway. They look like they are nailed down. So if you need to remove them, try to pull out the nails. If that doesn't work, I would shrug my shoulders, grab the crowbar, and pry them loose gently.

Painted around, dug a little at the top, feels like thick plaster, but maybe eternit does too?

No.
Then it is probably plaster. Eternit is hard as stone.

Broke off a piece, looks like plaster with wood chips in it? I guess it's harmless then :) Piece of wall material broken off, showing a mix of gypsum and wood shavings against a green and brown background.

Wood shaving-reinforced plaster! Never seen it before, but there's a first time for everything.
At least it's not eternit.

Hehe yes, should mention that I live in Norway, they might do things a little differently here ;)

Thanks for all the helpful answers!
