I have just bought a house where it incorrectly stated in both the sales report and the inspection report that the house is on a "slab on ground." It now turns out that an extension of about 18 sqm is on a post foundation, and the kitchen and bathroom, about 12 sqm, are built on concrete pillars. The rest of the total 107 sqm is slab on ground. My question is whether the value of the house is affected by a significant part of the house not being on a slab on ground as was incorrectly stated.

I think it's better with a plinth foundation. Then you can change pipes and alter the floor plan without having to break up half the house...
So I respond that the value increases with a plinth foundation.

How could they not discover that at the viewing? 😲

The inspector missed this

HHur kunde man inte uppräcka det på visningen ? 😲
That it isn't discovered during the viewing might not be so strange. People usually have plenty to do other than trying to look under the slab on ground.
But it's strange if the inspector missed it, isn't it?
