Is it?

Short side where the rafters run from long side to long side, span of 8 m.

The gable I'm wondering about has five large windows and a patio door, no studs directly in that wall.

What I'm thinking is that the first rafter is supported on the long sides only and is held up by this.

The house is a modular home from 1972 and is approaching a replacement of all windows.

You write a bit strangely, but if a rough beam/pillar hasn't been built into the wall in the middle of the span, the roof truss is probably self-supporting. Do the other roof trusses have the same dimensions and also lack support in the middle in the form of heart walls or pillars?

I also live in a house from '72 that reminds me somewhat of what you're describing. However, we only have five windows and no original door. Aren't there any studs between the windows? In our house, the wall is built with two 45x70s next to each other every 120cm, and the windows are placed between them. Or rather, that's how it's supposed to be. We recently discovered that the house's previous owner removed two of these "posts" to make room to replace one of the windows with a patio door. So, on 3.6m, there are no studs at all. Even though the gable remains, if you look closely, you can see a slight settling. The roof sags a bit in the middle. So the studs do make a difference.

You can contact the city planning office in your municipality to see what plans they have for your house. With a bit of luck, you might see how the house is constructed there. Around the time your house was built, it sometimes happened that the side posts in the windows were used as part of the load-bearing structure. If your house is built that way, you might want to support the truss with something else while you have the windows out, to avoid settling.

Hello, there is a wall running through the middle of the entire house, however, it is made with 45*45.

There are 6 windows + a door. And they are frame to frame. So, likely, the frames are part of the load-bearing structure, so you probably have to replace two windows at a time or provide support.
