I have plans for expansion and also to move some interior walls in the existing part. I'm considering whether the truss is self-supporting or if I need to support it with a beam. The house is a single-story villa from 1980 with a width of 8.3 m externally. The truss is a framework construction according to the picture at the top left of this page http://www.timmele.com/takstolstyper_index.html. I have been able to ascertain that the ceiling was nailed before interior walls were erected.

As an amateur, I imagine that the truss is self-supporting, but I thought I'd ask here before I potentially do something foolish.

Your trusses are always self-supporting. Load-bearing interior walls should, according to best practice, be marked with a longitudinal steel band, inside the plasterboard and such. So if in the future you start tearing down such a wall, stop in time.
