Hello! Does anyone know what the polkagrisstänger are on the drawing? We want to tear down a concrete wall between G and L, closet and linen cabinet, and will check with a structural engineer to make sure it doesn't cause any problems 😊

  • Floor plan showing bedroom, bathroom, and hallway with labeled measurements. Discussion about removing a concrete wall between wardrobe and linen closet.
There are walls. Between G and L, there is also a shaft, uncertain of its purpose, but perhaps ventilation ducts or other installations run through there.

The shaft is not part of your apartment, but belongs to the association.

Thank you for the response. What does it mean? We want to open up that part, do you think it's possible if we get approval from the board?

But I interpreted the question as asking what the difference was between a wall with and without a candy cane pattern.

The shaft (the part with a crossing line closest to L) you will not be able to do anything with. It is likely to be fire-technically separated. It probably contains ventilation or HVAC that supplies several apartments in the building.

Regarding the candy cane marking/hatching, I guess it indicates a different type of wall.
Most of the walls might be lightweight concrete, for example, while the rest are studded gypsum walls that are hatched?
Normally, I would interpret such drawings as walls to be rebuilt when I see a project drawing, but this I assume is a drawing of how it currently looks.
