We are trying to decide which home building company to go with. Trying to compare LD, but it’s not always easy.
What do you say about the interior walls below? Particularly, we wonder what is better, chipboard with insulation (Kvalitetshus) or solid wood cladding without insulation (Karlsonhus).

Lövsta Trähus: gypsum board 13 mm
solid wood cladding 17 mm
insulation 45 mm
studs 45*95/120 (load-bearing)
45*70 (non-load-bearing)
solid wood cladding
gypsum board

Karlsonhus: gypsum board 13 mm
solid wood cladding 16 mm
studs 45*95 (load-bearing)
45*70 (non-load-bearing)
solid wood cladding
gypsum board

Kvalitetshus: gypsum board 13 mm
chipboard 12 mm
insulation 70 mm
studs 45*70
chipboard
gypsum board

Best with respect to what... Hmm, not entirely simple.

Lövsta clearly has the "best" walls. Tongue and groove boards and insulation = sturdy and a bit quieter. (Hmm, why 45 iso? Do they twist the studs so that the iso fills 2"?)

Karlsson - more rattly with sturdy and good to screw into.

Kvalitetshus - probably quieter than Karlsson but possibly a bit worse for screwing into (and also a lot of unpleasant materials in the chipboard that might be less healthy, maybe)

I rank them Lövsta, Karlsson, and lastly Kvalitetshus (but not far behind)

Nah, it's hardly likely. The insulation simply doesn't fill the entire space.

45 insulation in a 70 wall is a fairly common solution, it provides some space for electrical and water installations without complicating things.

Karlsson can also deliver with insulation, just let them know.

Don't forget to check how the interjoists are insulated, this is just as important as good insulation in interior walls regarding sound.

Many suppliers don't include insulation at all in the basic design, it should be included and it's not a major cost in the grand scheme of things.
