We are going to divide the living room so that part of it becomes an office/media room. Does soundproofing become noticeably better with 95 mm studs? Or does it not matter, especially considering that we were thinking of having a (albeit solid) sliding door between the rooms?

If you're having a sliding door between the rooms, I would say it doesn't matter. It's fine to build with 45x45 too.

A sliding door is not good for soundproofing since there is no threshold or real edges for the door to seal against, but I would use 45x70 studs with insulation in the other parts, though the cassette itself won't be insulated in a 70 wall.
