I built an interior wall on top of a parquet floor but missed that there is no floor joist under the wall, which stands on a parquet floor on 22mm chipboard. How should one approach this? Diagram illustrating an interior wall built on parquet without a floor joist underneath, showing a gap between the wall and floor. Query on proper construction method.
The house is from -69, and the manufacturer claims, among other things, that it is an advantage to be able to modify the floor plan as desired. I've checked other interior walls and it seems there are more that don't have any joist under them, where there's a clear gap between the wall and the parquet.

I can't find anything about this in the usual building instructions for interior walls. What do others here say?

if you have 22 mm floor particle board on the floor joists, you can place the wall anywhere.
is the wall standing on floating parquet?

Ok, thanks for the response. How can I determine if the floor is floating? Check under the skirting boards for expansion joints?

saw this at Moelven:

"For glued (floating) floors, the recommended maximum width is 4 meters. For larger areas, the room must be divided with expansion joints. Floating floors should not be loaded with heavy furniture, fixtures or partitions that hinder the floor's movement."
