The title explains the main question well, but to clarify, we have a heated & insulated shipping container as storage.
I want to build an "inner wall" to prevent all the heat from escaping every time we run in and out, like two extra doors inside the existing ones, and I was thinking of a small door in one of them.
I was planning on building with regular studs with plywood on both sides and 50mm insulation in between, but how do you think it would work with steel profiles instead?
The plywood itself stabilizes the construction, but what about the stability and warping?
Because plywood sheets can also twist, right?
I'm thinking of some form of latch or sliding bolt in the floor and ceiling to hold them in place, and hinges on the sides of course.
What does the collective expertise think?
A quick (a bit messy) sketch as an illustration of what I mean..
Hang up a curtain instead. I think you'll go crazy with an airlock and both doors will stay open all the time anyway.
The thought has crossed our minds too...
But I need to be able to be in there and work for a few hours quite often, unfortunately a curtain won't be fully sufficient during the chilly months...
I'm mostly pondering the best solution to achieve it, still leaning towards regular 45x45 beams now...
I'm just a bit concerned about whether they might warp and if I then need to use reverse lamination and stacking of the beams first? It’s been a few years since I last did it...
Sounds like you're complicating it a bit; I think it will be fine with 45 studs as long as you get it tight against the outer walls. Personally, I would make a frame of thicker timber around the outer edges so as not to rely on screwing into the steel when you later build the wall.

Well, I might be worrying unnecessarily.
Maybe it will be a very quick and easy job all of a sudden..
I also have this kind of insulation so I don't need to make a frame either..
