Hi
I've realized that I have issues with my garage/carport.
There's a fully insulated slab shared between the garage and carport. However, there's no insulation (as far as I know... it was finished when I bought the house) in the concrete between the carport and the garage section. This obviously results in heat being drawn out from the storage/garage.
How can this be resolved in a reasonable way without tearing down the entire wall between the carport and garage?
Would it be possible to cut a trench in the concrete with an angle grinder (as close to the wall as possible) with a diamond blade and then fill it with something like sealing foam/styrofoam?
I assume it's better to cut on the outside than the inside? Just thinking in terms of heat... It's insanely dusty, so that also argues for the outside.
Probably will need to cast some kind of ledge on top to keep it together...
