Thinking of insulating the garage roof!

How should you frame and install insulation?

Anyone have a good picture or drawing?:) Wooden beams and insulation in a garage roof, showing initial setup for insulating the ceiling.

Thank you!

But it's hard to see what I need to do with my roof.

Do I need to frame against the slanted roof before I apply Insulation?

I want a slanted roof, not a regular flat one:)

Ah, in that way, so you want the subframes in the rafters to be visible, or am I completely wrong? In any case, you need to have ventilation up there, as it looks now you don't seem to have it. Down at the eaves, it seems completely sealed. Either you can do like this http://www.traguiden.se/TGtemplates/popup2spalt.aspx?id=4992, the image does show insulation of the subframe in the ceiling, but the principle for air space is included, or you can install mold stoppers.http://www.bygghemma.se/utomhus/tak...ballage-mogelstopper/p-172000#moreproductinfo

Ok thanks for the tip, I don't want any mold, I'll fix the ventilation.

But how do I get 45mm insulation from the ceiling that then creates an air gap up to the ridge?

Do I have to use studs in some way?
