Hello!
Since I've gotten good help here before, I'm trying again.
We moved to a small old farm a few months ago.
On the farm, there's a building where part of it is timbered and has been a kind of farmhand/labourer cottage. It's built close to the ground, and we have it heated to 10 degrees because of the things we have inside.
At some point, we plan to insulate better and where there is no insulation, but it works for now.
The other part of the building is made of masonry blocks and concrete type. It's a small old fex where they kept cows and a room where they boiled water and washed and such.
That part is about 1.5-2 m above the ground.
The part where the cows lived we don't heat, and that's not a problem.
But the washroom we must keep from freezing there because we have incoming water and a water pump and dry the laundry there.
It has a dehumidifier for the laundry and a small oil heater.
The previous owner heated it to about 17 degrees, but it's totally unnecessary as long as the water doesn't freeze and the laundry dries, it's okay.
We have between 6-10 degrees approximately.
But now to the "problem."
We don't want to burn money on heating, but it feels like we are because everything is just concrete/block.
Except for the roof then.
The walls are painted inside but I don’t know what kind of paint. On the outside, it's the classic white plaster.
Is there any way to insulate a bit on the inside so it becomes cheaper to heat up?
Part of the wall is a chimney because there used to be a masonry heater there.
The room is small, maybe only 5 sqm, so any insulation must not take up too much space.
It's also a passage from a cold hall to the unheated fex. Plus, there’s a tiny window that we've replaced the rubber seals on so it's no longer drafty.
I've replaced the rubber seals on one door too and was planning to check and see if we can fix something with the other one as well.
Or is there anything else we can do to save a little on heating costs?

No one has any tips for me?

Still no one has any tips?

Insulate the roof and floor first. How thick is the insulation in the wall, roof, and floor?

Going to check how much insulation there is in the ceiling, but the rest is completely uninsulated. It's just like those old wall blocks. The wall might be about 15 cm thick.
