Windbreak in uninsulated old log house?

Hello! I have an old timber house that is used as an uninsulated and unheated garage. I am going to nail up new exterior paneling on the timber house and wonder if I need to install a wind barrier behind it? I will have a 50 mm air gap behind the exterior paneling.

That sounds like a good idea. Old log houses aren't always airtight.
It doesn't cost much to add wind barrier fabric before you install battens and nail the siding either.
