insulate/decorate garage with concrete wall
Hello!
I have an old garage that is connected to the house's basement. It has walls made of light concrete blocks and a concrete floor. I would like to insulate the walls and pour self-leveling compound, lay flooring. I have never done anything like this against concrete and am considering potential moisture. What should be between the concrete and wall studs and should there be anything between insulation and cover panels? I am planning to have OSB boards behind gypsum as a wall (so that it is easier to screw something up [hate gypsum walls]). Now I see all sorts of materials like vapor barriers, etc.
Regarding the floor, is there anything I need to consider when I pour the self-leveling compound and possibly install underfloor heating? It is a concrete slab directly on the ground inside.
Grateful for any help to expand my knowledge and get this done _/|\_

Maybe go with a moisture barrier as you normally would? If you just consider that the lightweight concrete blocks are the exterior, I'm a bit unsure!
Screw something into OSB? Funny joke.
Why are you using self-leveling compound, because you're going to lay flooring and it's very uneven now? Why are you laying a wooden floor in a garage?
It's probably "just" a matter of priming the concrete before you start with the self-leveling compound otherwise.

I thought the garage connected to the basement would become like a rec room/hobby room and that it should be heated.
OSB is at least good enough for shelves with lighter loads, far better than just gypsum, in my opinion.
Do you have any other better and cheaper suggestions than OSB behind the gypsum?
