My summer cottage has an unheated basement made of hollow block masonry. Externally tarred and with drainage mat. I really just want to spruce up the interior walls by cladding them with some type of boards. Is it possible to do something so simple, or will it cause moisture and mold? If I wanted to insulate the walls, do I need an air gap? Grateful for opinions
