How do you moisture barrier a house that lacks a moisture barrier in the walls? I am thinking of putting plastic on the inside of the wall made of tretex, then a chipboard on top of that. What do you do at the wall towards the next room? There will be a bit right where the interior wall meets the exterior wall that isn't covered with plastic. Should you extend the plastic a bit on the interior wall, or what should you do?

Purely spontaneously, you don't do it at all because in most cases it means creating problems, including making it tight.
Search for diffspärr here on the forum and you'll find tons of info on why you shouldn't attempt it.
