Hi,
We are doing some work at home.
We are going to replace a window that is 110 cm wide with a window that is 100x210 + a patio door of the same size to the left.
The idea is to put a stud between the door and the window, but I assume we need to reinforce?
Or is it enough to put double 45x170 studs to the left of the door and to the right of the door?
I've googled and searched the forum, but I'm not quite sure.
So I'm throwing out a question to all the knowledgeable people here.

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Jonas

Yes, just like the current window is supported, the longer the distance, the stronger the beam (horizontal) and post (vertical rule) are needed.

Intervention in a load-bearing structure usually requires that a building notification has been submitted to the municipality and approved before starting.
