We have installed a Turner garage door with a width of 250 in an opening that is 244. According to Lakkapää, it should work perfectly, but not for us. The door is hitting the wall, which it shouldn't do according to them. Have we done something wrong or? Does the opening need to be exactly 250?

Is it a sectional garage door ??

No, they should not touch the wall, in principle they can be installed on a wall without an opening.

Yes, it is a takskjutsport. I thought so too, but there are divided opinions about it.

I don't know anything about the current door, but I work with installing doors, and all the doors I've encountered have the door panels inside the wall, they seal against the rubber seal that sits on the side rails, and they are a few centimeters inside the wall.

It is quite common to make the porthole size when the frame is built, and then cover the opening with, for example, boards so the opening becomes smaller, but it should not be a problem.
