Hello,
It's time to install spotlights in the hallway, and in this case, we will be using Malmbergs downlight LED MD-99 which has a slightly wider light dispersion.
We're thinking of something like this (the drawing is not to scale)
Above the stairs, we have 3 hanging pendants, and therefore we haven't planned any spotlights there.
What do you think about the distance? Is there any golden rule to follow?

When we discussed spotlights with an electrician a few years ago, he talked about one spotlight per sqm, i.e., the first one about half a meter from two walls and then approximately 1 m to the next spot in both directions, to get evenly distributed light. This matches quite well with what you have drawn, except on the right where 3 on 374 cm might be a bit sparse, especially since you might want extra good lighting to see properly when tying shoes and vacuuming up dirt by the front door.
If you have other lamps, e.g., a wall lamp by the mirror or a lamp on a dresser, you could reduce the number of spotlights instead.
