install carcasses, with or without glue?

bought some cabinet frames from ikea that I plan to have assembled.

though, should I take the opportunity and run a bead of wood glue or should I go glueless?

If you are going to glue, you should use 1-component polyurethane glue and, above all, time. Regular wood glue doesn't do much good beyond around the plug.

I have never glued an Ikea frame (and I have assembled many...) I also can't say that I have missed it... The important thing to get an easy/nice assembly is to make sure that the back really stays at an angle.

No, actually never even heard of anyone gluing the frames. Definitely overkill.

The problem is finding a glue that adheres to the melamine surface.
Epoxy? Not so fun to mess with.

Why not just follow the assembly instructions.
Then the warranty also applies.

m, have assembled them now without glue, there were small damages on like all the cabinets so it's a good thing I'm practicing on the laundry room's before it's for the kitchen
