Install a floor drain where no floor drain fits?

We are in the process of setting up a boiler room for a geothermal heat pump in the corner of a large room on the ground floor. The floor joists are reinforced from below with pilings, and Gyproc's sound insulation system will hopefully make the compressor activities barely noticeable. The floor drain will go straight down under the house and connect to the existing drainage. Now to the dilemma:
In the existing floor, underfloor heating is milled and it is not possible for us to change the routing of this. Therefore, we need to place the floor drain between the existing heating coils in such a way that we do not collide with any joists, and I need some help here.
The free space between the coils is 18x18 cm, and from what I have read, the minimum area to install a floor drain according to the rules is 30x30 cm. However, Purus has a drain that could fit within 18x18 (Purus Mini Brage) but without a mounting plate. I know that mounting without a plate is far from best practice, but there are some circumstances that make me think it could still work. These are:
* The room has two layers of 22 mm glued plywood underneath (so the drain should sit fairly still)
* There will not be much foot traffic in the room (i.e., the drain will be stepped on sparingly)
* The floor/ waterproofing will be plastic sheeting (so any floor deflection won't crack any tiles)
* There will not be any water running on the actual floor; any spill will go straight down the drain via a pipe (so waterproofing aspects are secondary)
Am I thinking wrong here, and if so, what alternatives do I have? One thought that has occurred to me is to add another layer of plywood to recess the plate, as the screws for the plate could potentially fit outside the coils, but it feels unnecessary if not needed.

Where are all the floor drain experts when they are needed the most?

Otherwise, a regular spygatt and then solve the water trap under the house. Possibly a bottom valve with an integrated water trap could be a solution...

Brilliant, thanks for the great tips! The idea is that water should be able to be drained into the well in case there is any kind of leak, so that kitchen variant looks absolutely brilliant.
