Indoor paneling

We have had an extension built onto the house, a new room.
Here come some questions...and you can probably tell we have no clue at all....
Want white paneling on the ceiling and walls. Questions:
1. Which paneling is recommended? The type where it's "board by board" or "boards that are already connected". (Grateful for the technical terms for these...)
2. Is it easy to make it look nice around windows and doors with paneling?
3. Recommendations on where to buy, good price and good quality. Like, byggmax, bauhaus, jem och fix, online etc.?

1.
The type of panel, meaning which profile to choose, is a matter of taste.
Go to http://www.byggbeskrivningar.se/
and look for "Invändiga träpaneler" for a lot of information.

Buying pre-painted saves a lot of work, especially on the ceiling.

2.
Everything is easy if you know how to do it
But it's not harder with träpanel than with boards.

3.
Just compare prices. One is cheap for one product, another has a low price on something else.
Include Cheapy in your comparison. Where I live, they are the cheapest for "my" ceiling panel.

Colorama, I believe, has a pretty good selection of thin "board imitation" in MDF. They look really good painted...

Thank you for the response. I don't want to paint them. I want them to be pre-painted. Also, they should be easy to clean, this applies to the wall panel (small dirty fingers....)

Now the "New England" look is in, and then smooth paneling with small gaps, or simply raw plank (the kind you put on the outer roof), set horizontally, is worth looking at.

For the ceiling, I like this (it’s not fully covering paint, but you can faintly see knots and other things through it):

Since it gets a bit messy and sticky from small children’s hands, it’s nothing to worry about.
It’s probably much easier to repaint a wooden paneled wall than to tidy up soiled wallpapers.
And with the right paint, it can be quite durable too.

Raw pine boards are never pre-painted, right?

We bought white bergslagspanel. It looked amazing once the boards had been on the wall for a few days and dried, making the gaps between the boards more irregular á la old-fashioned style.
