Hi!
We're going to install wainscoting inside our outhouse at the summer cottage. But should we nail or screw it in place? I assume nails mean finish nails, but if we're going to screw, what screws are suitable then?

Fun!
Buy a screw with a relatively small head (won't crack the panel so easily) and screw it at an angle into the tongue so it won’t be visible. The alternative is panel clips or just being content with visible nails or screws. It’s entirely up to you.
Good luck!

It is also perfectly fine to set a nail in the tongue. Hit the last part with a punch. Simpler, faster, cheaper, and less visible.

Yes, it will be great fun, the children have wished for a cozier feeling in the outdoor toilet, so we thought of wainscoting and wallpaper :). Thanks for the tips

Sounds undeniably unbeatable even though it's fun to use the drill. Thanks for your thoughts!

If you own a compressor (or can borrow one), I recommend a brad nailer.

If you don't have a compressor, there are battery-powered brad nailers. At least as fun to use as screwdrivers. Maybe you can rent or borrow one.

Thanks! A nail gun would be cool, but is it difficult to find the right setting so you don't damage the panel?

Not difficult at all. It's also fun to test to get the right amount of power.
