Indoor paneling - how to frame around windows?
I am going to install beadboard panels vertically in a 1920s house. There are beautiful traditional moldings around the windows. I don't want to remove them. Can I just pattern match the paneling so that it aligns with the moldings or are there other solutions? Seal any gaps with latex caulk? The same applies to door moldings, which aren't covered by curtains. Grateful for any tips

do not remove them and put the panel all the way out as you want it and then use smaller wooden pieces/moldings that are planed/sawed to cover the part against doors/windows that is not covered by the molding when the panel ends up behind the molding
You can attach the panel to the lining (provided it's thick enough, but old allmogefoder is usually about 20mm, and the pärlspont 13mm). Just need to be careful. Bevel the edge of the panel slightly and apply a latex caulk.
