Many years ago, a building program showed a type of scaffolding that is locked with hex screws in the joints.
I think it was Timell who demonstrated how, in true MacGuyver fashion, you could craft a loft bed by cutting pipes and using cast(?) joints with hex locks.
The pipes were available in both aluminum and steel.
The structure looked quite "nice" with round joints featuring recessed screws.
I don't remember what these are called, do you have any idea?
I'm not planning to build a loft bed but rather some exercise equipment.

Never seen, can't you use regular Burton pipes and fittings?

...or maybe Kee Klamps? They have been available in cast iron and aluminum since the 60s and were previously used to build semi-permanent stands.
A simple power rack is what it will be. A sturdy one costs around 10kkr and I should be able to save about 8kkr by doing it myself.dadgom said:

The B size fits 1" water pipes that can be purchased at most larger metalware dealers. 1" is approximately the inner diameter, the dimension is 33.7 x 3.20. The pipes are available galvanized and ungalvanized (so-called "black" pipes). Choose galvanized to match the connections.

Tubeclamp saw a significant increase in Sweden when the winter tire law came (was it 2000?), when every tire dealer had to build tire racks to handle the winter storage of all wheels. For this, the tubeclamp connection (in B size) and corresponding pipes were perfectly suited.

They even had the same marking as Kee Clamps, so I could translate that directly. More expensive, but it's nice not having to buy from abroad.
