Currently renovating and painting the facade. I was thinking of also replacing the roof drainage so it doesn't spoil the new look, and also switching to sharp bend pipes. I hope the new gutters will fit the old hooks, and the best chance would be if I go with the same brand as before.
Can someone tell me the supplier based on a picture of a gutter end cap perhaps? Not the best picture either, but that's how it is with accessibility.
If no one can tell what it is, how big is the risk that the items won't fit if I buy Lindab gutters, do you think?
Simply measure the size of the gutter, and it will almost certainly fit.
Alternatively, take down the gutter that's there today, bring a piece with you, and say you want one that fits. However, remember to paint the rännkrokarna...
Taking it down and bringing it along is always an option, but since I will need special bends, there is a bit of a delivery time, so I thought I'd save the work for a while. In that case, I might have to put the gutter back in while waiting for the new stuff. But maybe I can take the gutter end with me to test, of course!
When we did an extension, we installed Lindab's hooks. Before we managed to buy gutters, our hardware store switched to Plannja's range. They then said that I couldn't buy Plannja's gutters and expect them to fit together. That's why I'm a little curious, but maybe it's not as tricky as it sounded?
I have never encountered problems, but I might have been lucky like crazy too. Then it could be that (some) modern hooks are more brand-loyal than old ones with a metal tab that you bend over.
Yes, they are hooks with tabs that bend, so I don't think it should be that sensitive. I understand if it's worse with hooks where the gutter snaps into place. Now there were traditional hooks on the extension too, but I don't remember if I told the salesperson who advised against mixing with Plannja.
I'll try bringing an endcap to test with, it was easy once I figured it out.
