I've found a box of HusFix in storage. I see now that it apparently has a best-before date, with a maximum storage time of one year. I have no idea how old it is, but it's definitely a few years past its expiration date.
What happens after a year? The box says "If stored incorrectly, the curing time is extended." I'm just planning to even out some fairly shallow dips in a concrete floor and then lay laminate flooring on top, so it will just be thin layers that should cure in a few hours anyway.
The warning text also states that iron sulfate is used to reduce hexavalent chromium, and that this effect diminishes after a few months, which increases the risk of eczema. I wasn't planning on using my fingers anyway, given how corrosive it is...
Or is it foolishly frugal to try to use it? Maybe it's better to just get a fresh package?
