How to stud for Carport panel

Have raised the framework for a two-car carport and will have vertical paneling on two sides.
Started to think about how I should attach the horizontal 50*100s that the paneling will be nailed to, on the posts that are 125*125?
Option 1: Simply nail the beams to the outside of the posts.
Option 2: Cut out the posts and recess the beams like the rafters' bearing beam is.
Option 3: Cut suitable lengths to fit between the posts and align them with the outside of the posts.

Which method is recommended?

would go on the one myself. cutting into the posts feels like it weakens them and there should be some air gap between the post and the panel so the one feels like a strong card

Well, it's probably unnecessary to complicate it more than necessary... (even if it feels tempting to tweak it a bit too much sometimes)

Hmm, personally I would have placed 45x95 to make it as stiff as possible, i.e., 45 in the vertical plane and 95 in the horizontal plane. I would have set it horizontal between the posts and fastened with brackets. If desired, notch 10 mm in the posts instead of using brackets and nail at an angle.

You can solve the air gap if desired by adding battens.

Hmm, personally, I would have placed the 45x95 so it becomes as rigid as possible, i.e., 45 in the vertical plane and 95 in the horizontal plane. I would have placed it lying between the posts and fastened with angles. If desired, you can notch out 10 mm in the posts instead of using angles and toe-nail. An air gap can be solved if desired by adding battens.

Could the angles be placed on the outside of the posts in that case, and also the beams, to save the work of cutting to length and then adding battens?

Well, it's a bit unsightly to insert small pieces by the posts. I think it looks better to splice on longer battens or 45x45.
