Just wanted to let you know that in our case, it was probably somewhere where we got a drywall joint right at the door stud (which you should NOT do without steel band) - and there are no steel bands here either...
so far nothing is visible, but if cracks appear right there, I will follow up in the thread. It hasn't even been a year yet, I don't know how long such things take to show up.
But now that we know a little more, we'll probably cover such openings with drywall in the future. You learn...
Thank you so much for the answers!

Have you painted or wallpapered? I've got the idea that wallpaper handles it better.

Could it be that Gyproc's instructions refer to gypsum directly against studs? Not that one violates the instructions by instead using OSB behind?

Have any cracks appeared yet, TS?

I was thinking of avoiding gypsum joints at windows if possible, but it feels like one complicates it for oneself if in some cases it would suit to do so and at the same time happens to have an OSB that passes a door/window edge? The substrate is completely solid if OSB is behind, does one even need to see it as a traditional edge?

The thought occurred to me that when you place standing drywall on standing raw wood planks, it's easy to get the "joint" between the boards exactly where the "joint" between the planks is.

Is it meant for the drywall to be horizontal then (please say no)?:worried:

I'm thinking of avoiding drywall seams at windows if possible, but it feels like I'm complicating things for myself if in some situations it would be suitable to do so and at the same time happen to have an OSB that passes the door/window edge? Read a bit and neither Gyproc nor Norgips think you should have wood-based panels behind their drywall, so it seems a little pointless to try to fulfill their instructions.
