Construction plywood is simpler than "real" plywood with fewer layers (I think anyway) and a very poor surface, with knots and other defects.

Buy a piece of "real" plywood instead. You only need a small piece.
There's probably a scrap piece at the lumber yard that fits.

I'm going to hang up a 32" on the wall, I have particle boards. Should I use wood screws or go "all in" with molly bolts?

No, use sensible wood screws, possibly pre-drill with a small drill bit.
E.g. 5.0x50 mm from www.clasohlson.com/se/Universalskruv-Rotadrill/Pr112836022
and pre-drill with a 3mm drill bit so the chipboard doesn't splinter.

Is it safe to buy screws at Clas Ohlson..? Their molly plugs, for example, are just garbage if you read people's experiences.

Sure, one might dare to buy screws from CO, but I wouldn't trust the particleboard for a TV. As soon as it comes to boards, I want it properly plugged …

As soon as it involves boards, I want it properly plugged...
The carpenters screwed up the whole kitchen with wood screws in the chipboard... So they can probably be trusted.

But maybe there were double particle boards there? I would definitely use molly for the TV. Also, how much extra time does it take?

TV wall mount fixed with wood screws; left attached to beam, right to sheet.

Here's how it turned out: left side mounted on the stud, right side only on the panel. 6 pieces of 6/50mm wood screws. The TV weighs 7.5kg. It will hold. For a long time.
