I have dull walls in the basement that are only painted with silicate paint but would like to sand down and smooth out. Since the quality of the drainage and the moisture behind is unclear, I can't put drywall on everything. The builder said you have to sand down all the seams and then putty them out. Can you do this yourself? The house is not in Sweden so I would need to try myself.

  • Concrete basement wall with visible seams and silicate paint.
Rent or buy a concrete grinder, connect to an industrial vacuum.
A red concrete grinder with a power cord on a white surface.

Thanks! I thought it was something like that which is needed. It's just the joints that need to be removed. Then a lot of spackling. 👍🏻
