We have an entrance stairway made of some kind of cast concrete with a surface of small round stones. Over the years, it has become quite unsightly, and previous owners have repaired it with varying results. It seems to be more or less crumbling and the surface feels like sand.
My ideas have been to brush away everything that is loose and fill in with construction adhesive or something similar and put back the pieces that don't turn into gravel when I touch them.
Has anyone successfully repaired it and would like to share tips?
