Hello

I have a bunch of soapstone tiles that I want to remove the adhesive from (the tiles have been mounted on a floor as a display in a store)
Any tips on how to do this easily?

Angle grinder and stone disc to get them clean.. But use safety glasses and gloves

Do you think an angle grinder with a coarse wire brush would work? I guess it depends on how hard the grout is fixed, which can vary quite a bit. However, expect it to be dusty.

You'll fix it easier with slice ..

You're probably right. I thought perhaps the risk of damaging the discs could be less with a steel brush.

the discs can withstand more than you think and you learn quickly how to do it..

A little luxury with Diamond for this, so use the stone slab..

You should not use a cut-off wheel for anything other than cutting. It can be dangerous. It's that diamond grinding wheel that applies.

Can splurge, the diamond disc (and cutoff wheel though) is already on the workbench from a previous mispurchase :)
Thanks for the answers, I'll have to go and try it and see how hard it is, I've already hand-scraped 1/4 of the tiles (just over 7 years ago) so it can hardly be more difficult than that :)

No, but you can easily handle this.. just don't press too hard, let the tool do the work.
Good luck.
Sincerely,
Eti..
