Hello!
The floor in my bathroom will partially be raised with joists on the slab with about 10cm height to the underside of the floor. The joists I have removed were mounted with wedges and therefore were not in direct contact with the concrete, so most of them look just fine. However, there are some that were lying on the concrete and they are completely ruined by moisture. How should I avoid this in the new floor?

Syllisolation e.g.

Can't you cast instead if you have a cast slab underneath and possibly with an insulation layer if you're going to have underfloor heating?

There are also plastic wedges, but as mentioned the construction is classified as a risk construction if you rebuild in the same way as usual, assuming that the property has an old traditional casting directly onto the ground.

Cannot cast, there must be a gap of about 10cm between the slab and the floor since the house has air-based underfloor heating. The house is from the 50s, so there is no advanced insulation under the slab. Where can one obtain these plastic shims?

Available in most hardware stores and possibly even the local ironmonger.
