Imagine never having enough time to accomplish your plans... ;)

The construction is not finished and now winter is almost here. How do I best prepare a half-finished summer house for winter?

Today, the frame is complete and the roofing felt is basically nailed down. With some rush, I had planned to put up exterior gypsum board and then vertical paneling with battens before winter. Painting with Falu rödfärg will have to wait until spring. I would have preferred to install the flooring, but I probably won't have time for that. My father doesn't see a problem leaving the house without flooring over the winter, while I at least want to put down the subflooring of asfaboard. What do you think?

Asfaboard for the floor, paneling, and exterior gypsum board for the walls, and raw boards and roofing felt on the roof. Will it work?

If you get that far, I see no problems with the "övervintringen". Leak on the roof and just put up (provisional) wind boards so that the wind doesn't catch the tar paper.

I assume also that the facade becomes "tight" with regard to the door/window.

Go out and inspect the construction now and then during the winter!

Yes, I forgot to write that. ::)
I will nail the panel around and cut out for the window and door next spring. My plan is to lay the asfaboard before I put up the last of the external drywall and the panel.

I would ignore the panel and instead focus on the roof. The utegips can manage. If you want to further strengthen the perimeter protection, you can cover with plastic/tarpaulin.

The blindbotten doesn't seem very important either, I would rather make sure to get tiles on the roof.

Regarding, asfa in the floor...

I have a guest cottage without a floor, just the joists exposed to the open air. The exterior roof and outer walls are finished, but on the inside, only the outdoor plaster and studs are visible. I plan to leave it like this until the main house is finished sometime next year. It's not a problem that there's no floor inside, on the contrary, it allows all moisture to evaporate like a carport.

Thanks for the help!

Steffen: Then you've come as far as I hope to have in a couple of weekends! ;D
I'll skip the asfaboard for now and leave the joists open.
I thought snow might blow in and cause trouble with the exterior gypsum, but as long as there's proper ventilation...
