Hello,

I am going to try to replace the decking on my covered patio.

However, I have a problem. Currently, the posts that support the tile roof are placed on the decking, which in turn rests on longitudinal sills that sit on the piers. See the picture.

How can I lift the posts (and the roof) to access the decking?
There is no place to put the jack?

Thanks for all the help I can get!

Saw around the pole and leave the decking underneath as is?

The thing is that the decking is not under the entire post, meaning there is no support beam underneath.

Is there some brace with a crossbeam that might work?
