Hello

We have an attic in our house.
I have cleared out all the old junk and mold.
Now there are floorboards and beams down below and a double-seamed metal roof above.

Since there is not much ceiling height - how do you recommend building it?
I want to lose as little height as possible.
Considering water-borne underfloor heating.

If the ceiling is low, it may be suspected that the subframe/floor joists are not dimensioned for the loads that occur in regular residential areas. What do the trusses look like and when was the house built?

Built in 1899 and there was residential space up there. In 1926 it was removed. We have removed 18 tons of debris so the load-bearing capacity is likely there. Are the floor beams solid every meter?

It feels reassuring. I would still like to see a section through the attic to be able to provide some useful input.

Is it possible with pictures?

Yes, although drawings that can be measured are always best.

How high is it now?
A sectional drawing says more than 53 words :)
