I am in the process of putting up 6mm drywall in my bedroom and will then paint directly on the drywall. The problem, however, is the radiator. What would you do there?

The options are either to get a plumber here to dismantle it so I can reach behind, or not to put drywall behind it and maybe instead tuck in smooth fabric behind. Then spackle for a nice transition from the drywall.

I'm having a hard time deciding what to do here.

Radiator under window in a room being renovated with gypsum board, tools on windowsill, and flooring partially covered.

Isn't it just a matter of removing the windowsill and then propping up under the radiator and carefully removing a bracket, gypsum, and putting the bracket back? You still need to have 2 parts on the gypsum.
