How to do? Terrace on existing patio
Hi everyone!
I am considering starting to build a terrace on the existing deck in a couple of weeks.
There are plenty of opportunities for fastening etc. in the wall and down to the deck's foundation, but how should one easily and best deal with the "roof" of the deck?
Today, there are simple rafters from the house extending outward. The roof is made of plastic.
My thought was to remove the plastic roof, build up rafters from below to the new terrace, and then lay something like OSB or rough boards as a roof for the deck. On that, you would have to apply some form of waterproofing so that it doesn't leak down to the deck... but what do you use there? Roofing felt?
Above that, it will then be a matter of framing up the slope so it becomes level, and then laying decking and building a "railing" around, and voila, a nice terrace 5 meters up in the air!
Does anyone have any tips on how to proceed? Has anyone else done something similar?

No one?
I have done exactly as you wrote, built a balcony with a patio underneath. Frame, rough board, roofing felt... It was finished last year, now it will be framing, decking, and railing this year.
It has a 3-degree slope, bought glaciär 3 grader at byggmax.
