I have an old window that I want to fit mirror glass into. But is it difficult to cut glass and what do I need? It's not straight pieces I need to cut out either.

Kind regards, Anders

ok but will such a tool work if I want to cut out a round shape? probably hard to break the glass when it's not a straight edge. or does it work anyway?

It is possible to cut around. The larger the radius, the easier it is. Without much experience, I managed to make two crescents with a radius of about 200-250. However, I failed a couple of times at first. Therefore, practice on the old glasses first.

Dip the glass cutter in something like lacquer thinner when you're cutting, then the glass won't fuse back together as easily in the groove you score.

Perhaps you can create some kind of template that you can place both under and over the glass so that it more easily follows your scoring when you break off the excess glass?
